China Business Tours / Organized Business Expedition
Nine days, four cities, one working agenda — an organized business expedition for a small cohort of non-competing executives. Every visit pre-arranged, every meeting interpreted, every logistic solved before you land.
9 days · 4 cities01 What you get
Anyone can fly to Shanghai. What takes months to arrange is the door opening once you’re there — and the right person on the other side of it.
Access to major Chinese companies secured in advance through an organised networking programme — not cold outreach on arrival.
8–12 participants, so interactions stay meaningful and the group moves fast between visits.
One programme covering travel, meetings, interpretation and local coordination. You handle none of it.
Meet leadership and working teams inside Alibaba, Tencent, JD.com and other major players.
Investment policy, company setup, incentives and regulation — explained by the offices that write them.
Learn how business is really done in China by being there, with the right people, asking your own questions.
02 The itinerary
The expedition follows China’s innovation corridor: pre-matchmaking preparation, site visits, curated cultural experiences and optional deep-dive sessions.

Virtual briefing and market overview, so the group lands already aligned on what it is looking for.
Arrival, orientation and welcome dinner with the cohort.
Headquarters visits with the teams running commerce and content at national scale.
High-speed transfer and market introduction session on arrival.
Official briefing on investment policy, company setup and incentives, followed by working sessions.
Campus visit plus curated supplier and partner encounters matched to the group.
Headquarters visit and a tour through the incubators and hardware ecosystem that feed it.
Facilitated sessions with vetted partners, suppliers and ecosystem professionals.
Capital markets, holding structures and the bridge between mainland operations and global finance.
Closing roundtable to turn nine days of exposure into named next steps, then departures.

Many nationalities now enter mainland China visa-free for up to 30 days. Most Western passports enter Hong Kong visa-free.

Yes. Participants may request up to two individual meetings — a supplier visit, a consulting session or a potential partner introduction — coordinated in advance.
A post-trip contact pack: confirmed company profiles, follow-up contacts and a digital resource kit with slides, documents and visit notes.
A 30% deposit confirms your place; the balance is due 45 days before departure. Cancellations 60+ days out are refunded in full minus a $200 admin fee; 30–59 days, 50%; under 30 days, transferable to a future cohort. Official Chinese VAT invoices (fapiao) can be issued.
05 At the table
In China the meeting opens the door; the dinner is where trust is built. Every expedition includes hosted business dinners and cultural meals with executives from the companies on your agenda — an informal table, interpretation on hand, and the kind of introduction a conference room rarely produces.
It is where a scheduled visit turns into a working relationship, and where the conversations that matter usually start.

06 Who runs it
Every organized business expedition is run by InfluChina together with GateKaizen — a China-focused advisory platform with six-plus years of field experience — and local government and industry partners in each city.
Programmes are run with GateKaizen and coordinated with the Shanghai Municipal Government and local industry partners in each city.
