China OTA Agency

Get Listed and Get Booked on China's Travel Platforms

Chinese travellers do not book on Booking.com or Expedia. They book on Ctrip, Fliggy and Meituan — platforms that require a Chinese entity, Chinese-language content and local payment rails.

As a China OTA agency, we open your accounts, get you verified, and run them for you.

The platforms

Where Chinese Travellers Actually Book

Each platform has its own audience, its own onboarding rules and its own commission model. A China OTA agency handles all of them for you.

Market leader

Ctrip / Trip.com

The largest OTA in China and the default for flights, hotels and packages. Essential for any hotel, resort or destination targeting Chinese travellers.

携程旅行
Alibaba group

Fliggy

Travel arm of Alibaba, integrated with Alipay and Taobao. Strong for flagship stores, pre-sale campaigns and younger, high-spend travellers.

飞猪
Local services

Meituan & Dianping

Dominant for restaurants, local experiences and city hotels. Where Chinese visitors decide where to eat and what to do once they arrive.

美团 / 大众点评
Search led

Qunar

Price-comparison engine owned by Trip.com Group. Reaches value-driven travellers who compare before booking.

去哪儿
Lower tier cities

Tongcheng

Strong penetration in tier-2 and tier-3 cities through WeChat integration. Access to an audience the big platforms reach less well.

同程旅行
Packages

Tuniu

Specialised in organised tours and outbound packages. Useful for destinations and operators selling multi-day itineraries.

What we do

What a China OTA Agency Does

Two services that work together. Most clients come to our China OTA agency for setup and stay for the ongoing management.

01

Account setup and verification

Getting listed is the hard part. Chinese OTAs ask for documentation most foreign brands do not have on hand, and reject incomplete applications without explanation.

  • Eligibility check and the right entity route for your case
  • Business licence, trademark and qualification paperwork
  • Contract negotiation and commission terms
  • Store or property page built in native Chinese
  • Payment and settlement set up so you actually get paid
  • Verification followed through until you are live
02

Day-to-day account management

An open account earns nothing on its own. Ranking on Chinese OTAs depends on response time, review volume and campaign participation.

  • Rates, availability and inventory kept in sync
  • Chinese-language listings, photography and seasonal content
  • Guest messages and reviews answered by native speakers
  • Platform campaigns, flash sales and festival calendars
  • Paid placement and visibility inside each platform
  • Monthly reporting on bookings, revenue and ranking
How it works

From First Call to First Booking

Typical timeline is four to eight weeks, depending on your entity situation and the platforms chosen.

1

Audit and platform fit

We review your property or brand and tell you which platforms are worth the effort — and which are not.

2

Paperwork and entity

We map what each platform requires and prepare the documentation, including the route if you have no Chinese entity.

3

Build and launch

Listings written in native Chinese, images adapted to platform specs, pricing and settlement configured, verification pushed through.

4

Manage and grow

We run the accounts month to month: content, reviews, campaigns and reporting.

FAQ

Questions We Get Every Week

Do I need a Chinese company to sell on Ctrip or Fliggy?
Not always. Some platforms accept overseas entities for hotels and destinations, others require a local entity or a licensed partner. Which route applies depends on your category and where you are based — we check this before you commit to anything.
How long does it take to go live?
Four to eight weeks is typical, counting document preparation, platform review and page build. Categories needing extra qualifications can take longer. We give you a realistic date after the initial audit, not an optimistic one.
Which platform should we start with?
For most hotels and destinations, Ctrip first — it has the largest reach. Restaurants and city experiences usually get more from Meituan and Dianping. Brands with an existing Tmall or Alipay presence often find Fliggy easier. We recommend based on your case, not on a fixed package.
Do we keep control of the account?
Yes. The account is opened in your name and you keep ownership of the store, the booking data and the reviews. We manage it for you, and if you stop working with us the account stays with you.
Can you manage an account we already have?
Yes. Many clients come to us with a listing that was opened years ago and left inactive. We audit what is there, fix the content and pricing, and take over day-to-day management.
Do you also handle marketing outside the platforms?
Yes. OTA presence works best combined with visibility on Xiaohongshu and Douyin, where Chinese travellers research before they book. See our Chinese tourism marketing service.
